Small Businesses in Las Vegas (SBLV)

Small Businesses in Las Vegas (SBLV)

Ian's other thing for the Vegas community.

Real estate is what Ian Palast does for a living. SBLV is what he’s building for the Vegas community. Both matter; both will live alongside each other under the Palast Realty Group umbrella over time. This page is a short introduction to what SBLV is, why Ian is putting effort into it, and where it’s going.

What SBLV is

SBLV stands for Small Businesses in Las Vegas. It’s a forthcoming property at sblv.biz that will surface, profile, and connect the locally-owned small businesses that make the valley actually feel like a place to live rather than a transient stop on the Strip. Taco joints. Family-owned auto shops. The barbershop that’s been on the same corner for thirty years. The cooking instructor with three students at a time. The valley is full of these businesses, and most never get the visibility they deserve because the marketing landscape is built for chains.

Why Ian is building it

Ian has been a Las Vegas Realtor since 2006. In that time he’s built relationships with the small-business owners who serve his real-estate clients — the contractors, inspectors, lenders, painters, landscapers, movers, cleaners, and the dozens of other trades and services that come up in every transaction. He’s also a content creator (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok) who naturally profiles Vegas places in his real-estate content — taco spots, restaurants, neighborhood corners. SBLV is the formal extension of those two threads. The real-estate audience and the local-business community both win when the connection is real.

What’s on the SBLV roadmap

The full property at sblv.biz is in build. Initial scope: directory of Vegas-area small businesses by category, profile pages with owner stories, integration with Ian’s content channels for cross-promotion, and a referral pipeline for Palast Realty Group clients who need a trusted local-business introduction for any service they need around their home or move.

How real-estate clients benefit

Practically, SBLV gives Palast Realty Group clients a vetted referral network. New arrivals to the valley get an introduction to the local-business landscape they’d otherwise spend months finding piecemeal. Existing residents get the same. The Realtor relationship doesn’t end at closing — SBLV is the continuation.

For Vegas small-business owners

If you operate a locally-owned Vegas-area small business and you’d like to be considered for the SBLV launch directory, the simplest path is to reach out to Ian directly. The directory will be selective and locally-owned only — no chains, no franchises, no out-of-state operators.

Frequently asked questions

Is SBLV a paid service?
Not for the SBLV side. Inclusion in the directory will be free for locally-owned Vegas small businesses that meet the selection criteria. The property is a community resource, not a marketing platform.
Is there a connection between SBLV and Palast Realty Group?
Yes — SBLV is owned and operated by Ian Palast under the same broader umbrella as Palast Realty Group. The two work together: SBLV gives PRG clients access to a vetted local-business referral network; PRG gives SBLV a built-in audience of Vegas-area homeowners and recent arrivals.
When does sblv.biz launch?
The full directory is in build. Soft-launch target is on the same general timeline as the Palast Realty Group website launch. Ian will surface the launch through his content channels (YouTube, Instagram, the PRG site) and through direct contact with the businesses being profiled.
Why does this matter to me as a real-estate client?
Because moving into Las Vegas — or moving within it — almost always means needing services. A great mover. A trustworthy electrician. The right cleaning service. A neighborhood mechanic. SBLV is the vetted-introduction network for all of it. PRG clients get the network as part of the relationship.
